Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s response to Edwin Clark, Ijaw leader representing the Niger Delta region, who had reportedly said Obasanjo’s hatred against the Niger Delta people was disappointing, has made headlines, Arise News reports.
In a letter on Tuesday addressed to Edwin Clark, according to the report, Obasanjo said that he had always stood for equity and justice in the federation but that tribal allegiance had to be suppressed for the state to emerge.
