I hosted a delegation of the National Onion Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria - Uzodimma

I hosted a delegation of the National Onion Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NOPPMAN) in my office led by their National President, Alhaji Aliyu Maitasimu Isah.

I sympathized with the association on account of the unfortunate loss of lives and businesses during the recent security breaches which rocked the state. I assured them that Imo State is now safe for all genuine businesses to thrive irrespective of the tribe, class or religion. We have a duty to ensure that every Nigerian in the State is protected.

In line with the group's appeal for compensation for goods which were destroyed, I pledged to set up a committee to workout modalities and cushion the losses of members whose goods were affected.

Furthermore, I called for a united front against the common enemies that seek to divide us, urging them to continue to partner with the State Government and the local authorities for the peace and progress of their host communities.
