Synopsis

Ama is in a long-distance relationship with Chuka, a postgraduate student in the UK. Miscommunication and assumptions begin to strain their bond. When Chuka accuses Ama of being “too public” online, Ama defends her integrity and redefines trust across distance.

 

SCENE 1 – INT. AMA’S ROOM – NIGHT

Ama and Chuka video chat.

CHUKA I saw your post. You were dancing with some guy. Is that what love looks like to you?

AMA EBONY It was a drama rehearsal. You didn’t ask, you assumed.

 

SCENE 2 – INT. CAMPUS STUDIO – DAY

Ama rehearses a monologue about trust and distance.

AMA EBONY (MONOLOGUE) Love isn’t proximity. It’s presence. It’s choosing someone even when they’re not in the room.

 

SCENE 3 – INT. VIDEO CALL – NIGHT

Ama and Chuka talk again.

CHUKA I’m sorry. I let fear speak louder than faith.

AMA EBONY Then let faith speak now. I’m not asking you to be perfect. I’m asking you to believe in me.

They smile. Connection restored.
