Must You Start A Church?

Because you are gifted to Speak, and you are in control of the Youths in your local assembly;

Does that Mean You are Anointed to Start a Church?

 

Because you are respected by a large members of the congregation, and you are trusted by the Pastor to handle Counseling Sessions for a lot of members of the Church, you are now very close to them and you know the houses of many of them,

Must You Start a Church because of that?

 

And You Dear Brother,

Because you were the President of the Campus Fellowship

Highly Respected on Campus,

Having a lot of brothers serving you and carrying your Bibles,

Sisters taking care of you in Shift-duties,

Cooking your food and Laundrying your clothes,

Because you were their "Papa".

Then, you graduated and came back from Youths Service,

Reality of Simplicity dawn on you, and

No one to carry your Bibles and cook for you again,

You become an ordinary Church member.

When you enter church, no one stood up for "Papa" anymore,

Five or Six Brothers are not standing around you

As Bodyguards or Protocols anymore.

 

The Ushers now began to tell you to stand up

for New Converts to sit down,

Pastor calling you and other bothers to cut the grasses

Around the Church ahead of the Men's Conventions;

Sisters no longer bend their knees to greet you,

and Brothers no longer bow their heads in "Holy Homage".

 

Then you felt your anointing is being trampled on ground.

You felt the grace of God upon your life is being abused.

You felt, the call of God upon your life need a place for Expression.

You felt the Your spiritual gifts are being under-utilized.

You felt, you are being caged and muzzled.

MUST YOU START A CHURCH

WHEN THE LORD HAS NOT CALLED YOU TO START ONE.

 

THAT YOU ARE GIFTED IN PREACHING,

DOES THAT MEAN YOU SHOULD START A CHURCH?

THAT YOU ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED AND GIFTED WITH COUNSELING GIFT,

DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE ANOINTED TO PASTOR?

 

You that is still supposed to sit down in Sunday School and

Learn at the feet of Christ,

You want to Start a Church?

You that is supposed to still be serving

Under an elderly Pastor, using your gifts for the

Expansion of the Kingdom of God within the Church,

You want to start a Church because the church

always liked your sermon whenever the Pastor

Gives you the Pulpit to minister to the people.

 

Do you think, the ability to preach is the only

Quality of an ideal Pastor?

Can you bare the burdens of others?

Can you sit down and be treating other People's wounds

While you are feeling the biting and stinging pains

of you own wounds in secrets.

Can you accommodate stubborn people?

Can you endure various acts of ingratitude and Betrayals.

Can you give our food to hungry church members and you and your family

Go hungry that the church members may not go hungry?

THAT IS JUST 5% OF THE VIRTUES OF AN IDEAL PASTOR.

IT IS NOT ABOUT ABILITY TO PREACH ALONE,

A LOT OF GIFTED PASTORS CAN NOT EVEN PREACH CONVINCINGLY.

YET, THEY ARE ORDAINED AND ANOINTED PASTORS.

 

I LOVE MY PASTOR....!

BUT I CAN NOT PASTOR A CHURCH!

I AM NOT CALLED AND GIFTED FOR THAT.

IT IS A SPECIAL CALLING.

 

BUT....YOU....YOU, MY BROTHER,

MUST YOU START A CHURCH?
