Those Who instigate violence have means to flee Nigeria - Keyamo
Nigeria's Minister for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) says "Those Who instigate violence have means to flee Nigeria"
The minister added that those who become victims in war are usually not the intended targets but the hapless ones who are influenced by the advocates of war.
According to the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, the #EndSARS protest of October 2020 has shown that those who push others to violence have the means to flee the country leaving behind those they instigated to violence.
The Minister who wrote on Twitter said the call for calm that comes from the government and responsible citizens is not out of cowardice but to protect the weak.
He said, “During the COVID-19 lockdown, those badly affected were, unfortunately, the weak and lowly amongst us; during ENDSARS, the eventual victims that lost billions were not the intended targets; the insurgency in the North East has mostly affected the weak and vulnerable amongst us.
HATE NOT - Tricia
From the desk of Nigeria's media personality, Tricia Eseigbe Kerry:
*H A T E* *N O T !*
*Before* you *hate* anyone in this *life* , try and *find out* if you're _important_ to the person, so that you don't *waste* your *hatred* .
*I* will never *hate* anyone but I will *distance* myself from *people* who do not *value* me .
*Be* careful so you don't *hate* a *lovely* *person* , because of a *dirty rumour* you heard about them which was created out of *jealousy* and *envy* .
*Try* to *appreciate* those who *gossip* about *you* . It's not easy for *someone* to *leave* their *problems* and *carry* yours on their *head* .
BUHARI NEVER PROMISED TO MAKE ONE NAIRA EQUAL ONE DOLLAR
The Presidency has said that there was not a time when the current administration promised to make one naira become equivalent to one dollar, Mr Adesina stated while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
Mr. Femi Adesina who is the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, also added that the claims suggesting that President Muhammadu Buhari made such a promise, are false.
“It does not exist, it is fake, it is
false, it is apocryphal, it doesn’t”, he said.
Success doesn't come with with just a snap of a finger - Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan
From the desk of The Oniru of Iru Kingdom, HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal (Abiosogun ll):
Every worthwhile thing takes time. Success doesn’t come with just a snap of a finger. It's never that easy! Most of the time, it takes years to succeed. Oftentimes, it comes with a lot of ups and downs before we achieve our goals.
Successful people know this for a fact.
They didn’t get to where they are overnight. Some of them had to work for even
a decade before they could say they made it.
It’s about dedication, patience, and a
lot of smart hard work. But don’t be discouraged by the time it takes to
succeed. Instead, be determined to see it through; be determined to cross that
finish line. Some of them take even longer. Be patient and keep working at it
and when you stumble and fall, keep getting up and keep going.
The key is never to give up even if it’s
taking a while and you feel like it’s getting tougher. Hang in there and in the
end, you will succeed.
REPORT OF LEAH SHARIBU'S SECOND BABY HEARTBRAKING - PARENTS
Leah Sharibu’s parents, Nathan and Rebecca, have described as “heartbreaking rumours” reports that their daughter had given birth to a second baby in Boko Haram captivity.
Demanding that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), bring back their daughter with or without children, the traumatised parents said it was a big shame that the Buhari regime had abandoned their daughter.
According to Punch Newspaper, Leah was one of the 110 female students of the Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, who were abducted on February 19, 2018, by Boko Haram terrorists.
While others were released by the terrorists following negotiations, Leah, then 14, is still being held captive for reportedly refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
BIBLICAL TRADITIONS OF IGBOS BEFORE THE MISSIONARIES CAME TO AFRICA
From the desk of a Nigerian Film Director, Ugezu J. Ugezu:
*BIBLICAL TRADITIONS OF IGBOS BEFORE THE MISSIONARIES CAME TO AFRICA* IGBO 101.
*1. NSO NWANYI*
In Igboland women live apart from their husbands and neither cook for them or enter their husband's quarters when they are in their period. They are seen as unclean. Even up till today such practice is still applicable in some parts of Igboland especially by the traditionalists. Before a woman can enter the palace of Obi of Onitsha, she will be asked if she is in her period, if yes, she will be asked to stay out.
*Leviticus 15: 19-20*
When a woman has her monthly period, she remains unclean, anyone who touches her or anything she has sat on becomes unclean.
*2. ALA OBI*
An Igbo man's ancestral heritage, called “Ana Obi” is not sellable, elders will not permit this. If this is somehow done due to the influence of the West the person is considered a fool and is ostracized by the community.
*1 king 21:3*
I inherited this vineyard from my ancestors, and the Lord forbid that I should sell it, said Naboth.
*3. IKUCHI NWANYI*
Igbos have practiced the taking of a late brother's wife into marriage after she had been widowed until the white men came. Now it is rarely done but except in very rural villages.
*Deuteronomy 25:5*
A widow of a dead man is not to be married outside the family; it is the duty of the dead man's brother to marry her.

LEADERSHIP: Why Road Projects Take Time – Minister
The year, 2020, witnessed unprecedented
crises occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. How did the ministry of works and
housing navigate through these difficult times?
No doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has
immensely affected the plans and programmes of the Federal Ministry of Works
and Housing. There was reduction of government activities as a result of the
total lockdown, and this has affected execution of projects. But the ministry
is still on course, we have adjusted. We are now working tirelessly to complete
and deliver most of our projects.
What would you say are the specific projects the government has delivered even in the face of COVID-19 pandemic?

Ibori loot belongs to Delta - Falana
Human rights lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has called for the return of the £4.2million looted by ex-Delta State Governor, James Ibori back to the Niger Delta state.
Falana said this Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics.
He said the loot recovered from convicted ex-Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, belongs to the state and not the Federal Government.
“The Federal Government ought to be commended for pursuing this matter having regards to the fact that this case is a collabo issue between the EFCC under Malami/Ribadu and the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom.
“The memorandum of understanding signed by the representatives of the British Government and the Federal Government cannot supersede the constitution which has prohibited any form of discrimination in the country.
“In other words, by virtue of Section 42 of the constitution the governments and people of Plateau, Bayelsa and Delta States are entitled to equal rights and opportunities.
Wike attacks FG, Amaechi over Rivers assets sale by ex-gov
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has accused the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government of shielding the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, from prosecution over misappropriation of proceeds from the sales of some state assets, PUNCH reports and continues below.
The governor said it was deceitful for the Federal Government to inaugurate narrow gauge railway from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri at a time the rest of the world was building standard gauge railway.
Wike stated this during the inauguration of 6.1-kilometre Omuihuechi-Omuoko-Omokiri Link Road in the Aluu Ikwerre Local Government Area on Wednesday.
Wike in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said it was appalling that the apex administration had continued to shield Amaechi from prosecution for his inability to account for $308m from the sales of the state-owned power plant and other critical assets when he was the governor.
“People gave you opportunity. You sold our properties, everything. And people are talking in this state because of the government that says they are fighting corruption and protecting people. You (Amaechi) sold our property for $308m and kept for us $208,000.
NO DIALOGUE WITH BANDITS – NSA
The regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is not interested in negotiation with bandits, terrorists and other criminal elements terrorising the country.
National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd.) made the statement Thursday at a State House briefing in Aso Villa, Abuja.
According to Monguno, the present administration is not interested in negotiation with bandits, terrorists, and other criminal elements terrorizing the country. He’s of the opinion that dialogue with insurgents paints the government as weak and incapable and the Federal Government will apply its full weight to deal with the criminals and will not be blackmailed by any group of people into negotiating with those who threaten the nation’s peace.
“While the government is not averse to talking to these entities, these human beings, I have to be very honest, the government has to apply its weight, that force that is required because you can’t even talk with people who are unreliable people, who will turn out to do a different thing and people who will continue to hurt society.
“So, basically, what the government wants to rely upon is to deal with this issue by using all the assets – military assets, intelligence assets to eliminate these people.
“If along the line, some of them are ready to come out and talk and negotiate, when the time comes, we will do that but for now, we can’t keep on dwelling on ‘Let’s dialogue’.
“Psychologically, it is not even good for us, it paints the picture of weakness, it paints the picture of incapacity and I, just like the governor of Kaduna State said, do not see any reason why we cannot, with what we have, deal with these elements.

Establish your presence in the social media - Fr. George Ehusani
Father George Ehusani challenges Christians all over the world to establish their presence firmly in the social media which is the new marketplace or battleground of ideas, if they want the authentic Christian faith bequeathed to their children. Social media platforms he says, have become the most powerful instruments of socialisation and value orientation. It is being used cleverly and efficiently by agents of the 21st Century new pagan culture, who are out to destroy all traditional Christian and family values.
