PART ONE
"My homage to beef shawarma with beet yogurt sauce!
"All you need is some yogurt and beets, and some pita.
"Marinade :
"1/4 cup lemon juice
"1/4 cup of balsamic or apple cider vinegar
"1 tsp salt
"1 tsp garlic powder
"1/2 tsp cumin
"1/2 tsp cardamon
"1/2 tsp of oregano seed
"1/2 tsp cinnamon
"1/2 tsp nutmeg
"1/2 tsp allspice
"1/2 tsp ground cloves
"1/2 tsp black pepper
"1/4 tsp cayenne
"1/4 tsp ginger
"olive oil
"Save the stems and leaves from the beets and wash and dry them.
"Get an onion, a bell pepper, some thyme (dried is fine too), cucumber and fresh dill.
"If you’re vegetarian get a bunch of portobello mushrooms and and slice into 1/2” slices and marinate with the same spices as the meat.
