The Ezeife Leadership Foundation has presented an interdisciplinary text in honour of late Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
The public presentation which is a book titled “Constitutional Law, Politics
and Good Governance” took place on May 5, 2025 at Shehu Musa Yar’dua Centre,
Abuja, Nigeria.
The book, edited by Professors Oazi Oludoro and Unwa, consisting of 41 chapters, discusses key aspects of constitutional law, politics, and governance in Nigeria and globally, reflecting the values Dr. Ezeife stood for.
The key themes:
- Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law – Speakers emphasized the importance of upholding constitutional principles and ensuring that laws are effectively enforced to promote good governance.
- Democratic Governance and Electoral Integrity – Discussions highlighted the need for credible elections and the role of political institutions in fostering democracy.
- Justice and Human Rights – The book explores fundamental rights, separation of powers, and the challenges of ensuring justice within Nigeria’s legal framework.
- Political Stability and National Unity – The event honored the legacy of Dr. Chukwuemeka Pius Ezeife, who was known for advocating unity and fairness in governance.
- Policy Implementation and Leadership – Former Governor Peter Obi stressed that Nigeria must move beyond merely enacting laws to ensuring they work for the people and drive real change across sectors.

Also, the book launch was covered in the media, with discussions on its relevance
to Nigeria’s governance and legal framework. Former Governor Peter Obi,
represented at the event, stressed the need for Nigeria to enforce laws
effectively to promote good governance, emphasizing that Nigeria must move
beyond merely enacting laws to ensuring they work for the people and drive real
change across sectors. The book is positioned as a critical resource for
educating leaders and guiding policy decisions.
The book was formally unveiled and launched, with various individuals making
donations and pledging support for its distribution.
The event, which concluded with acknowledgments and expressions of gratitude
from the family and organizing committee was attended by distinguished guests,
including traditional rulers, former government officials, scholars, and family
members of H.E Dr. Chukwuemeka Pius Ezeife, who was a former governor of
Anambra State. The gathering honored his legacy, highlighting his contributions
to governance, policy-making, and national unity.
