Why does it take so long for women to be diagnosed with endometriosis?

The month of March marks National Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of endometriosis, one of the most common gynecological diseases, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Shelley Hopper, a 31-year-old single mother, said she spent two years suffering from debilitating pain until she found a doctor who "believed me."

Hopper, of Roseville, California, was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease that researchers believe affects more than six million women in the U.S. and as many as 200 million women worldwide.

Scarcity Of Meat Hits Lagos

A Business District Street In Lagos, Nigeria.

The south of Nigeria mostly depends on the north for its food, but the farmers-herders crises is driving a wedge through that business relationship, reports Pulse Nigeria.

According to the report, Alhaji Bello, a peripatetic salesman who hawks beef around Surulere, Lagos, has been forced out of business for well over a week now.

“Meat is so expensive now”, he told Pulse, his blackened hands quickly shoved into his blood stained trousers. “In fact, we don’t even see the meat to buy anymore.”

In the last couple of weeks, suspected hoodlums and brigands in the northern region have been impounding food trucks making their way down Nigeria’s south in what has been labelled a reprisal move, as ethnic tension stemming from a recurring farmers-herders crisis engulfs Africa’s most population.

Today we mark a truly grim, heartbreaking milestone — 500,071 dead. That's more Americans who've died in one year in this pandemic than in World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War combined - Biden

Three days ago President Joe Biden of the United States posted this on his IG "Today we mark a truly grim, heartbreaking milestone — 500,071 dead. That's more Americans who've died in one year in this pandemic than in World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War combined. That's more lives lost to this virus than any other nation on Earth. We often hear people described as ordinary Americans. There's no such thing. There's nothing ordinary about them. The people we lost were extraordinary. If you’re comfortable, share a memory of a loved one you lost to COVID in the comments below." What do you think? See the screenshot of the post below:

Whale trap feeding in the Gulf of Tailand

The extraordinary behavior of this whale, according to wildlifepixtures is thought to have developed because pollution has made the Gulf of Tailand a hypoxic environment.  Sewage outflows from the land have caused all the oxygen in the water to be used up, except at the surface. This means the whale's fish prey can only live in this surface layer. By treading water and keeping the corners of their mouth below the surface, a flow is created pulling the fish into the whale's mouth. In the panic, some of the fish also seem to jump out the water and into the whale's mouth!
