The body of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa was buried last month in Benin, capital city of Edo State in Nigeria.
Omozuwa was laid to rest amidst tears from family and friends who particularly, felt pain that the deceased was not giving justice even after about six consecutive months after her death.
The burial which started with a funneral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Edo Province 10, Aduwawa, Benin City terminated at the Third East Cemetery.
According to the deceased's sister, Judith Omozuwa, Vera wanted to become a minister and "preach the word of God". She added that after she gained admission to the University of Benin last year, the 22-year-old didn't stop taking theological classes at a local parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Edo State.
Vera Uwaila Omozuwa was allegedly attacked in the same Church where she was studying and subsequently confirmed dead on May 30, 2020 from the brutal assault.
