A Beacon of Compassion: Commissioning the Seraphic Home Foundation Rehabilitation Center and Elderly People's Home in Anambra
In a
deeply moving and spiritually charged ceremony, the Seraphic Home Foundation
Rehabilitation Center and Elderly People's Home was officially commissioned in
Anambra State, Nigeria.
The event, which unfolded with grandeur and heartfelt emotion, marked a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to social welfare and humanitarian service.
The
program commenced with the Nigerian national anthem, setting a tone of unity
and patriotism. Attendees included dignitaries, clergy, and members of the Zion
Ministry, with the presence of Governor Charles Soludo adding weight to the
occasion. The chaplain of the government house led an opening prayer, invoking
divine blessings on the gathering and the newly inaugurated facility.
Evangelist
Ebuka Obi, the spiritual force behind the Zion Ministry and the visionary
founder of the Seraphic Home Foundation, delivered a stirring address. He
emphasized the center’s mission: to provide free care for the mentally and
physically challenged, the elderly, and the destitute.
The
facility boasts over 360 bed spaces and includes seven buildings designed to
accommodate up to 500 individuals. Evangelist Obi passionately described his
lifelong dream of creating a sanctuary for society’s most vulnerable, a dream
now realized through divine inspiration and tireless dedication.
Governor
Soludo, visibly moved, praised the initiative as a true embodiment of Christian
values. He highlighted the importance of giving back to society and commended
Evangelist Obi for planting a tree under whose shade he may never sit, a
metaphor for selfless service. The governor pledged state support, including
infrastructure improvements such as road construction and electricity
restoration, and promised monthly contributions to sustain the center’s
operations.
The event
also featured musical interludes, prayers, and testimonies that underscored the
spiritual significance of the day. Evangelist Obi reiterated that the facility
would operate entirely free of charge, covering feeding, clothing, and medical
care. He called on all sons and daughters of Eboland to emulate this gesture
and invest in their communities.
As the ribbon was cut and the facility officially opened, the atmosphere was one of celebration and divine gratitude. The commissioning of the Seraphic Home Foundation stands not only as a testament to faith and philanthropy but also as a clarion call for collective responsibility in uplifting the marginalized.
It
is a landmark achievement that redefines the role of religious ministries in
societal development and sets a precedent for compassionate governance.
