The Rise of ROCOF: A Movement of Hope and Transformation in Ido Local Government
In a
vibrant and emotionally charged gathering, the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends
(ROCOF) held its official inauguration in Ido Local Government, Oyo State.
The
event, streamed live, was more than a political assembly, it was a declaration
of purpose, unity, and grassroots empowerment.
From the opening moments filled with music and calls for order, the atmosphere was electric with anticipation and pride.
The
program commenced with the national anthem, setting a tone of patriotism and collective
identity. Dignitaries, spiritual leaders, and community representatives were
introduced, including Prophet Dr. Simeon and Pastor Mrs. Janet O, whose
presence underscored the spiritual foundation of the movement. The keynote
address was delivered by the principal figure of ROCOF, Engineer Dr. Remi
Oseni, whose speech was both a reflection on past achievements and a roadmap
for future aspirations.
Dr. Oseni
recounted his journey from humble beginnings in Ido to his current role in
national politics, emphasizing the significance of returning to his roots. He
celebrated the growth of ROCOF from its inception in Ibadan to its expansion
across Oyo State, boasting over 265,000 registered members with a goal to reach
500,000 by December. His message was clear: ROCOF is not just a political
group, it is a movement of conscience, justice, and good governance.
The
six-point agenda unveiled during the event included delivering Oyo State for
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, returning APC to power in the state,
empowering ROCOF members, liberating marginalized politicians, supporting
market men and women, and youth empowerment through education and scholarships.
Notably, Dr. Oseni announced a ₦50 million donation to empower traders and
market women, alongside plans to launch a food bank and subsidized market
scheme.
Throughout
the event, goodwill messages poured in from various leaders, including the APC
youth leader and representatives of ethnic communities like the Igbo and Hausa.
Their speeches echoed themes of unity, support for ROCOF’s vision, and
appreciation for Dr. Oseni’s leadership.
The
climax of the program was the symbolic distribution of ID cards to ROCOF
members, signifying formal recognition and inclusion in the movement. Despite
logistical challenges, the organizers assured that all members would receive
their cards at their respective wards.
As the
event drew to a close, Dr. Oseni’s final remarks were a heartfelt appeal for
patience, unity, and relentless mobilization. He reminded attendees that ROCOF
is not in competition but a strengthening force within the APC, committed to
delivering the dividends of democracy. His call to action, “Together we rise,
together we win”, resonated deeply, leaving no doubt that ROCOF is poised to
become a transformative force in Oyo State and beyond

overwhelming enthusiasm, unity, and emotional investment throughout the event.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was charged with excitement, music
played, chants echoed, and applause punctuated nearly every major moment. The
crowd was deeply engaged, often rising to their feet in response to speeches
and symbolic gestures.
When Hon.
Remi Oseni took the stage, the reception was nothing short of jubilant. He was
introduced as “the man of the moment,” and the audience responded with cheers
and a “beautiful round of applause”. His speech, which emphasized
grassroots empowerment, justice, and unity, was met with repeated affirmations

and traders.
Throughout
the program, the crowd actively participated in prayers, national anthems, and
goodwill messages. When Oseni declared, “Together we rise, together we win,”
the audience echoed his sentiment with visible and vocal support. Even
