Monday Morning: The Comedy Edition
Your
alarm goes off.
You open one eye, glare at it, and wonder who invented Mondays and why they
haven’t been brought to justice yet.
The bed feels
extra
warm and inviting, like it’s whispering, “Don’t go… stay with me forever.”
You briefly consider calling in sick, but then remember you used that excuse
last month for “mild emotional distress caused by laundry.”
You
finally sit up, moving like a sloth in slow motion.
Your brain is still buffering.
You put on your shirt inside out, stare at it for a full 10 seconds, and decide
it’s “fashion.”
In the
kitchen, you pour cereal… and then realize you forgot the milk.
You open the fridge, grab the milk, and then forget where you put the cereal.
It’s sitting in the microwave. You don’t ask questions.
The clock
is now screaming at you.
You rush out the door, half-dressed, clutching your coffee like it’s the only
thing keeping you alive.
Outside, the sun is shining, birds are chirping, and you’re thinking, “How dare
they be so cheerful?”
And yet…
somewhere between the first sip of coffee and the first step into work, you
realize you’ve survived another Monday morning.
Barely. But still.
