The Rivers State community has been left reeling after the shocking murder of seven-year-old Alicia Olajumoke, a crime that has sparked outrage, grief, and urgent calls for justice.
According to reports, the incident occurred on November 25, 2025, in the Agip Estate area of Rumueme, Port Harcourt. Alicia, a bright young girl who lived with her mother, Glory Joseph, was allegedly taken from school by a woman known to the family, identified as Success.
What began as a seemingly routine school pickup ended in horror when Alicia was fatally attacked in her own home.
The Rivers State Police Command confirmed that they have launched a full investigation into the case.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, revealed that the child’s mother reported the disturbing sequence of events: Success, a family acquaintance, collected Alicia from school and brought her home, only to carry out the unthinkable act of violence.
