Jimoh Ibrahim Urges Nigerians to Back Tinubu on Economic and Security Reforms
Senator
Jimoh Ibrahim has called on Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed
Tinubu’s ambitious economic and security reform agenda.
Speaking with conviction, the federal lawmaker emphasized that the President’s vision for restructuring Nigeria’s economy and fortifying its national security architecture requires the collective support of citizens at this pivotal moment in the nation’s history.
Ibrahim,
who is also the founder of the University of Fortune in Ondo State, drew
parallels between Nigeria’s current challenges and global military history. He
highlighted that the United States has undertaken 469 military interventions
since 1798, including 251 between 1991 and the present, underscoring the
importance of strategic action in ensuring national survival.
According
to him, no nation enjoys absolute sovereignty, as pandemics, cross-border
threats, and global crises demand vigilance and collaboration. He praised
President Tinubu’s proactive steps to secure Nigeria’s borders while
simultaneously stimulating domestic economic growth.
The
Senator stressed that Tinubu’s reform agenda is designed to guarantee security,
expand economic opportunities, and foster national development. He urged
Nigerians to embrace patriotism and unity, noting that collective action is
critical for sustainable progress and for Nigeria to assert itself as a
formidable force in global affairs.
Ibrahim,
a respected scholar of Modern War Studies and Security, underscored that
Nigeria stands at a defining juncture where shared determination can strengthen
its security architecture, grow its economy, and elevate its influence
internationally.
In his
remarks, Ibrahim framed Tinubu’s reforms not merely as policy adjustments but
as a national survival strategy. He argued that love for country must guide
citizens through these defining moments, as the reforms promise to deliver
improved security, economic expansion, and opportunities for all.
His
appeal was both a call to patriotism and a reminder that Nigeria’s future
depends on the unity and resilience of its people.
