Fintiri Leads Fight Against Insecurity, Presents Patrol Vehicles to Operatives in Adamawa
In a
decisive move to strengthen security across Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu
Umaru Fintiri has officially handed over newly acquired Nigerian-made Hilux
patrol vehicles to security agencies.
This intervention marks a significant step in reinforcing the fight against insecurity and complements ongoing national security initiatives.
Governor
Fintiri emphasized that the provision of these vehicles is part of a broader
commitment to fortify the state’s security architecture. He noted that the
improved peace currently being enjoyed in Adamawa is the result of sustained
investment and close collaboration with security operatives.
According
to him, the patrol vehicles will enhance mobility, reduce response time, and
improve operational efficiency, ensuring that security agencies can better
safeguard lives and property.
The
Governor highlighted Adamawa’s crucial role in regional stability within the
North-East, stressing that supporting security agencies remains a priority as
Nigeria continues to face evolving challenges. He assured residents that his
administration will consistently provide logistics and tools necessary to
maintain peace and protect communities.
Beyond
security, Fintiri pointed out the positive ripple effect of stability on
economic growth. He explained that the strengthened security environment has
made Adamawa increasingly attractive to investors, both within and outside the
country. He urged potential investors to take advantage of the opportunities
created by the state’s improved security landscape.
Responding
on behalf of security chiefs, Brigade Commander Brigadier General Ogbonnaya
Amechi Agwu commended the state government for its support. He stated that the
vehicles would significantly boost morale among operatives and enhance ongoing
operations aimed at keeping communities safe.
This
initiative underscores Governor Fintiri’s proactive leadership in addressing
insecurity, while simultaneously positioning Adamawa as a beacon of stability
and economic potential in the North-East region.
