Kebbi State Government Initiates Minor Cabinet Reshuffle to Enhance Governance
In a
strategic move aimed at bolstering administrative efficiency and service
delivery, the Kebbi State Government has announced a minor reshuffle within its
Executive Council.
The announcement was made public through an official statement released on Monday, October 27, 2025, in Birnin Kebbi by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Yakubu Bala Tafida.
According
to the statement, the reshuffle involves the redeployment of two key
commissioners. Samaila Yakubu Augie has been reassigned to head the Ministry of
Health, while Haliru Aliyu Wasagu has been moved to the Ministry of Internal
Security. This decision aligns with Governor Nasir Idris’ broader mission to
reposition the civil service for improved performance and governance across the
state.
The
directive is to take immediate effect, signaling the administration’s urgency
in recalibrating its internal structures to meet evolving challenges.
The SSG
emphasized that the reshuffle is part of a continuous effort to strengthen
governance and ensure that the right talents are placed in roles where they can
make the most impact.
Governor
Idris expressed appreciation to the entire Executive Council for their
cooperation and contributions to the administration’s achievements thus far. He
reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining peace, unity, and efficient service
delivery throughout Kebbi State.
This
cabinet adjustment follows a series of recent developments in the state,
including security operations and political realignments, underscoring the
administration’s proactive stance in addressing both internal and external
dynamics affecting governance.
