COMMISSIONING OF THE NEWLY PROVIDED ENGINEERING INFRASTRUCTURE IN WUYE DISTRICT, ABUJA

In a landmark event that underscores the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s renewed commitment to infrastructural development, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, officially commissioned the newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. 

This commissioning marks a significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of the capital city under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The Wuye District project, which had languished in abandonment for over 15 years, has now been revitalized and completed under the current administration’s aggressive push for infrastructural renewal. The Minister described the project as a testament to the administration’s resolve to deliver on its promises and to restore public confidence in government-led development initiatives. He emphasized that the successful completion of the Wuye infrastructure is not just a physical transformation but a symbol of the government’s dedication to improving the quality of life for residents of the FCT.

The Minister also used the occasion to announce that the next phase of project commissioning will focus on the education sector, signaling a broader agenda that encompasses not only physical infrastructure but also human capital development. He challenged previous administrations to match the current pace and scale of project delivery, asserting that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not merely a slogan but a visible and measurable reality.
