October 23, 2025, President Bola Tinubu delivered a pointed and principled
message to Nigeria’s newly sworn-in Chairman of the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN.
Speaking at the Presidential Villa shortly after the swearing-in ceremony, Tinubu emphasized the critical importance of electoral integrity in Nigeria’s democratic process. He urged Amupitan to ensure that elections across the country are conducted in a manner that is free, fair, and credible.
