A New Chapter in Military Leadership: Brigadier General Nicholas Rume Takes Command of 22 Armoured Brigade in Kwara

In a ceremonious transition of military leadership, Brigadier General Nicholas Nemetne Rume has officially assumed command as the 23rd Commander of the 22 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army, located in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The change of command took place on October 22, 2025, at the Brigade Headquarters in Sobi Cantonment, marking a significant moment in the ongoing reshuffling of senior officers within the Nigerian Army.

The outgoing commander, Brigadier General Ezra Bawa Barkins, handed over the reins in a formal ceremony that included the signing of official notes and a farewell address to the troops.
