The patient, reportedly a drug addict undergoing rehabilitation, had swallowed 29 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and two pens over an extended period, leading to excruciating abdominal pain and a life-threatening condition.

The man was admitted earlier this month after complaining of severe discomfort. Initial scans revealed a mass of metallic and plastic items lodged in his abdomen. According to Dr. Shyam Kumar, who led the surgical team, the heads of the spoons and toothbrushes had been broken off before ingestion, suggesting a deliberate and methodical pattern of self-harm. 

The operation revealed 28 spoon parts, 21 headless brush fragments, and two pens, a total of 50 foreign objects that had dangerously accumulated in his digestive tract.

The patient, whose identity remains undisclosed, was reportedly in a rehabilitation center when he began ingesting the items, possibly out of frustration or psychological distress.
