In a
strategic move to deepen transparency and foster inclusive dialogue within
Nigeria’s tertiary education sector, the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary
Education Trust Fund (TETFund) convened a National Townhall Meeting on
Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Abuja.
The event, held at the A-Class Park and Event Centre in Wuse II, was chaired by Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Chairman of the TETFund Board of Trustees, and marked a significant milestone in the Fund’s ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders and the public in its operations and impact.

key education stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, civil society
representatives, students, and members of the general public.
According to Dr. Mansur D. Liman, Special Assistant to the Chairman, the initiative reflects TETFund’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and inclusiveness in the discharge of its mandate.

meeting aimed to bridge the gap between TETFund and the Nigerian public,
ensuring that its interventions and achievements are better understood and
appreciated nationwide.

Commission (NUC), delivered a paper titled “TETFund in the Eyes of the Public,”

providing a forum for feedback, suggestions, and collaborative ideas aimed at
improving the Fund’s operations.

meeting also served to showcase TETFund’s milestones since its establishment,
including its interventions in infrastructure development, academic training,
and research support.
This townhall
is part of a broader strategy by TETFund to enhance public understanding of its
role and to ensure that resources allocated to tertiary education are managed
